Casumo Review

Casumo is a top-quality online casino and sportsbook, with a strong reputation for delivering excellent customer service, offering a rich array of sports to choose from, and securing some super competitive deals and offers for their players. Previously best known for their casino games, the brand signed an agreement with sportsbook supplier Kambi in 2018 to expand their offerings, and this has really taken off amongst sports betting fans.
Since its initial inception in 2012, Casumo has worked hard to establish a strong presence within the world of sports betting. The results speak for themselves; the site was the winner of the eGaming Review (EGR) Rising Star Award in 2013, just a year after their launch, and took the trophy for Innovation in Casino for 2014 and 2015. 2015 also saw their mobile efforts acknowledged as they pocketed Mobile Casino Product of the Year, and 2017 was another double bonus, with nods for Affiliate Program and Mobile Operator. This victory for their mobile operation was repeated in 2018, and they finished 2019 on a high thanks to the International Gaming Award for Best Online Casino Operator.

Casumo Sportsbook Welcome Offer & Promotions

As any casino or sportsbook fan will tell you, the secret to success for many of these sites is the way they reward their customers. Promotions and deals are essential for getting new players through the door, rewarding and recognizing loyalty, and giving long-term faithful fans a reason to stay and play.
The Welcome Bonus is perhaps the most crucial element to this offering, as it is often the first interaction a player will have with the site – and it is essential that their first impression is a great one!
Casumo keeps things simple, but appealing, with a free £10 bet awarded to all new players who have already wagered an initial £10 bet. In essence, this doubles the deposit and is a great welcome for all newbies. To qualify, customers must place a bet of £10 minimum, on any pre-match or in-play sports market, at odds of at least ⅗. Once the initial qualifying bet is settled, the account will be automatically credited with the Free Bet, and this can be used on sports and games to boost the chances of a healthy profit! Both the qualifying and the free bet must be placed within 35 days of registration to the site, and there is then a 35-day window in which to settle the qualifying bet.
This Free Bet is a super generous deal, which is sure to be a real incentive to new players searching for a lucrative deal. The site also offers a range of regular deals, promotions, and offers, especially during major sporting competitions and tournaments.
These can range from free bets, as seen in the welcome offer, to matched bets, reload bonuses, and even the chance to grab great cash prizes. It is crucial that players check in with the site regularly, as some of these offers are time-sensitive, and there is a risk of missing out if you don’t move fast.
As well as offering great bonuses to new visitors, sportsbooks and casinos must work hard to acknowledge more long-term customers and those who remain consistently loyal to the site. This is usually achieved through a VIP or loyalty program, and these schemes are a great way to offer exclusive, members-only discounts, games, and deals.
At present, Casumo runs a fantastic VIP scheme that sees players given a chance to ‘Level Up’ as they play games on the site. This offer is targeted mainly at the casino element of the site, where different games allow players to travel to different planets, grabbing valuable experience as they go. Leveling up unlocks new perks and bonuses, such as deposit extras and even cash bonuses, until you reach the pinnacle of Casumo success: the coveted black belt.
Trophies are also a valuable aspect of the site and can be achieved through actions such as winning three times in a row or enjoying a particularly big win. The VIP scheme does not currently seem to have many perks for the sportsbook side of the site, but it is highly likely that this aspect will become more incorporated as it grows and develops.

The Product, Sports, and Markets

One of the significant advantages of Casumo is the vast range of choices available to players. There is a wide variety of sports on offer, including Olympic and championship events, American Football, Aussie Rules Football, and traditional football. Athletics, beach volleyball and golf are also popular, as are racquet sports including badminton, squash, tennis and table tennis. Water sports such as swimming and surfing sit alongside ball sports, including basketball, netball, baseball, rugby and handball, and fans of the frozen will enjoy winter sports and ice hockey matches. Also in the mix are darts, snooker, MMA, motorsports, boxing, and curling, as well as classic favourites greyhound and horse racing – there is something to suit every interest, however niche!
Live betting is a massive part of the industry, and Casumo recognises this by making it a key feature of its offering. Fans can place bets at any point during the match to place a bet, helping you stay totally up to date and accurate as the magic unfolds before your eyes. A single button takes you to every match currently in play, meaning you can get to where you need to be faster, and increasing your chances of success. This aspect is a huge bonus for the site and helps them to stand with some of the major names in the business.

eSports

eSports is an area that is rapidly growing in popularity, and so it comes as no surprise that Casumo has decided to grab a piece of what could be a very profitable pie. As the name suggests, eSports refers to ‘electronic sports’ and refers to a type of console or computer game played by individuals or teams, usually over the Internet. The size and scale of these events mean that they can attract significant sponsorship deals from a host of top companies, and as a result, they have the potential to be extremely lucrative.
Casumo have ensured that they do have something to offer every type of customer, and currently offer the following games under their eSports banner: Call of Duty, CS: GO, Dota 2, Dragon Ball, FIFA, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, League of Legends, Overwatch, PUBG, Rocket League, Starcraft 2, Street Fighter, Super Smash Bros and Tekken.
In addition to offering a host of some of the most popular games on the market, Casumo also offer great deals, promotions and offers on major events and tournaments – make sure you are checking in with the site to avoid missing out on a great opportunity.

Casino

Prior to adopting the sportsbook in 2012, Casumo were best known for their online casino, and this is an aspect which remains active. With top producers such as NetEnt, Evolution Gaming, Quickspin, and Red Gaming working hard behind the scenes, they are able to offer some of the most popular slots and titles on the market, including Book of Dead, Starburst, Dead or Alive II, and Bonanza Megaways.
In addition to a wide range of titles, customers can benefit from a super tempting welcome deal, which sees the awarding of a 100% match bonus, and an impressive 30 wager-free spins to spend on classic favourite Book of Dead. These freebies will be allocated upon registration, and do not come with any wagering requirements – a welcome rarity in the industry! Upon the initial deposit of £10, players will benefit from a 100% bonus up to a total of £300, and this does come with a 30x wagering requirement. This deal is an excellent introduction to the casino, and a chance to really enjoy and explore the site as a new customer!

Mobile & App

A great mobile experience is essential, and Casumo has this covered with a dedicated mobile app, designed to work on both iOS and Android devices. The sportsbook is a real treat here; users can filter the search function, so you only see the sports you need, and it is possible to custom build your very own bet, all from the convenience of your device.

Licensing and regulation

To ensure total safety, security, and peace of mind, Casumo is fully licenced and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, as well as the Malta Gaming Authority.

Customer Support

In the event of an issue, players can get in touch with an expert via the Live Chat feature, and assistance is also available via email.

Payments

Offering a range of payment methods is essential, and players need to be able to access their wins at a moment’s notice, as well as make deposits quickly and easily. There are a variety of payment options available, and these include Visa, MasterCard, Skrill, Neteller, Apple Pay, Pay By Mobile, Paysafecard, and MuchBetter.

Reliability

Ever since its inception in 2012, Casumo has developed a strong reputation for great games, lucrative bonuses, and excellent customer service, which helps them stay reliable and relevant in a crowded market.

Betopin’s Verdict

Whether you are brand new to the world of sports betting, or a seasoned pro just looking for a chance, Casumo is a top choice. With a vast variety of sports, tempting promotions and deals, and close attention to detail, they have provided a robust and established site that puts the needs and preferences of its customers at the forefront of their business.

"Daily case counts reflect newly reported cases and may represent cases that were tested in the preceding days, which could significantly impact the count on days when a relatively large number of laboratory reports arrive in one day." SNHD confirmed they are not counting COVID-19 antibody positives into their COVID-19 positive case counts.
Majority of information is pulled from Southern Nevada Health District's COVID-19 dashboard and historical reports.
Our positives are staying stagnant below 500/day, our recovery rate continues to rise (90+% range), and our hospitalizations are remaining stable (under 500). Protect our vulnerable and continue to practice good hygiene habits, including wearing a mask to prevent asymptomatic spread as mandated by Governor Sisolak (onus is on businesses, which we want to keep open, but Metro will not enforce it; OSHA is responsible for mask enforcement by fining the business). To report a non-compliant business through the state, call (702) 486-9020 or (775) 688-3700.
Doctors are doing convalescent plasma therapy treatments and are seeking plasma donors to help those in need. One plasma donation can help five patients. Blood donors can get the antibodies testing done for free.
FDA states 144 trials of therapeutics are underway to treat COVID-19. 457 more are in planning stages. None have been approved. Remdesivir and Dexamethaaone are FDA approved for emergency base use. New studies show that Remdesivir do not help in preventing COVID-19 deaths.
Nevada was approved for the 24-hour test procedure. FDA has approved a 30-minute and a 5-minute testing procedures. UNLV provides the main COVID-19 testing services. The first at-home testing kit was FDA approved on 5/15.
If you live within a 1-mile range of the Wal-Mart on Craig Rd, you qualify for a drone-delivered test kit to your front or back door.
Testing sites require an appointment; some may need to be scheduled by your primary care physician or another authorized provider.
During Thursday (10/22) and Friday (10/23) of this week, free testing is offered at Valley High School (2839 Burnham Avenue, near Eastern and Sahara). Hours are 8am to noon. No appointment needed, bring photo id and provide a phone number. Source.
Thursday (11/5) and Friday (11/6), 8am to noon Silverado High School (1650 Silver Hawk Ave, near Spencer and I-215) will be providing free testing.
City Serve coordinates testing sites throughout the valley. Testing is only on Saturdays. Schedule a no-cost test here: https://cityservelv.org/
The antibodies test was approved by the FDA a month ago. UMC, E7 Health and local laboratories are able to conduct antibodies testing. Cost is normally $149+, but your insurance may reimburse you for the test. Check your coverage first. Vitalant/Universal Blood Services will do a free antibody test for any eligible donors.
UMC is able to process 4,000 tests per day. It is encouraged for anyone to be tested. Symptoms are no longer required. Appointment is preferred, walk-up testing is available.
UMC's testing sites are inside Thomas & Mack Center and Cashman Field Center. They can do 1,200 tests per day, Tues-Sat 8am to 4pm. No symptoms, insurance, or citizenship required for testing. Schedule an appointment online through UMC's website (www.umcsn.com). A staff member will contact you back to schedule your appointment. According to their reps, there is no limit how often you can get tested. Sites are walk-in, appointment or walk-up. Both sites now use the self-nasal swab test kits.
UMC updates COVID-19 test guidelines:
New guidelines are to save test kits for those exhibiting symptoms.
See all testing locations on the SNHD website.
All CVS pharmacy drive-thru locations also does testing, no cost should be associated with this test. Validate with your insurance. If no insurance, there should be no charge. Requires an appointment scheduled.
Five months ago, the first vaccine was tested. More than 160 vaccine prototypes are being tested. Clinical trials of the vaccine were administered three months ago. Phase 1 & 2 of trial vaccines have completed with positive antibody results. Phase 3 clinical trials started with 30k volunteers; large test size of 3k vaccine test trials in the UK. Africa started their vaccine trials three months ago. Multiple sources stating to expect an FDA approved vaccine by end of the year.
Of the 100+ vaccines submitted, 22 have made the cut to go through testing and final FDA approval phases (5/15 briefing). The front runner vaccine is conducting human trails (Phase 3 aka final stage), completion date is pending. AstraZeneca is prepared to produce 2 billion doses once the vaccine is FDA approved.
US government is working with four vaccine manufacturers who are in the final phases of vaccine trials, all prepared for massive vaccine output once FDA approval is given. Worldwide, six are in Phase III.
Phase 3 vaccine trials for Vegas has started. Volunteers can call 702-893-8968. Must be 18+. Administered by the Wake Clinical Research Center of Nevada. Source.

2020.10.22 06:20 Heineken20202 Data and trends behind all of my Bumble matches over the years.

So I have been using Bumble on and off since about 2018 so it has been two years. I went dormant for about a year in 2019 due to work and because Hinge, Coffee Meets Bagel, and nightlife were treating me well. As soon as COVID-19 lockdowns hit, I started using Bumble again. After some boredom, I reflected on my results.
Bumble is a tougher app to do well on.
I feel like compared to Hinge where I have had 187 matches to date, on Bumble the percentage is significantly lower. I can do this post right now because I didn't have that much to observe. At the same time, I notice Bumble has the hottest girls and highest quality of all the apps in terms of pure looks.
A little bit about me.
I would say that as a 6'1 South Asian guy, a bit on the lighter skin side if that means anything, I have some work to do physically. I am not the 6 pack abs fitness model yet and lean slightly on the chubby side, has gotten worse since the pandemic. I am one of those guys who looks fit enough with clothes on but needs to put in time building that shredded body. Whatever failures I have had, I do not attribute them exclusively to race because I am not at my peak looks yet. Turning 28 in November so I better get on it.
I did however have higher quality professional pics done for the app and that is when I started to get matches like crazy.
I also moved cities and traveled to a couple foreign countries, using Bumble there. Used Bumble in Atlanta, NYC, Bogota, Miami, and Vancouver.
Best was Bogota in terms of lots of matches in a short amount of time.
I am also somewhat picky, I don't go for huge girls or girls who are hideous. My range is in that 6 to sometimes 8 range. In Colombia, I matches with the highest quality and quantity. My preference does lean more for good looking Indian, white, and Hispanic girls but I'll give any race a chance.
Results so far.
Matches that are still active/in conversations/valid profiles = 52
Matches overall = 80 (when we count in profiles that say "deleted user" but show the convos while the profile is no longer valid)
Dates = 12
Lays = 5
I am not counting here likes and women who matched with me but never messaged, app deletes those after 24 hrs. If we were to count those, I'd be over a 100.
Data behind the matches.
I observed my 52 matches that are still active conversations.
By race
White = 22
Hispanic = 17 (overwhelmingly from my time in Colombia, like maybe 4 were American Latinas)
Asian = 3
Indian = 4
Black = 2 (if you count mixed then 5)
Mixed + other = 4
Digging down more on race and some trends.
1 - I noticed that the white girls I matched with were pure white, like they looked extremely white.
My type is more of that Gal Gadot or Dua Lipa look, rarely match with that look. Most white girls I matched with were either blondes, a couple redheads, and the brunettes were just ghostly white looking (think Ireland, England, and that part of the world). I'd say pure white brunettes were my most common match tied with blondes.
Even my European friends say that an Indian dude who is well put together can clean house in Ireland, Scandinavia, the UK, and Northern Europe but will struggle a lot in a place like Spain or the Mediterranean.
I've also seen in real life that the white girls who are very receptive and cool to me are Irish, English, or Northern European background while white women of more Southern European background are very rude.
2 - While I match with Indian girls a fair amount on Hinge and Coffee Meets Bagel, I rarely matched with them on Bumble.
Then again, I did not notice that many of them on Bumble either.
Despite all the narrative of the self-hate in the Indian community, I've done quite well with Indian women. I notice even the westernized ones are really cool with me and it has made me have an overwhelming preference for them over the years. Somehow, Indian girls largely seem to be okay with hooking up with and being with a cool Indian guy who is not the stereotype. I would say I am somewhat of a happy camper since some Indian girls have the kind of look I go crazy for (dark hair and olive skin).
3 - The most glaring one, I did really well with Latinas in Bogota and I think I had about 30 likes in my first day there, I do terribly with them in America.
I was choosy in who I selected and landed matches with some dimes there. It really gets me how different my experiences with Latinas there were compared to the US where they have been largely negative, probably the worst of all the groups. From what I see, Latinas in the US are either whitewashed sellouts who passionately stick by whites or ghetto Latinas that prefer black guys. I have largely had a bad experience with the ones in the US which leads me to avoid most of them these days.
4 - An uptick in likes from blondes and Asian girls in 2020.
I have seen that blondes and Asian women have taken a lot of interest in my brown ass in 2020, not sure what this tells of trends. Looking around in NYC, I have seen a lot more young Indian guys with Asian girls and blonde women as well. In terms of interracial relationships in NYC, it is usually white girls then Asian girls then black girls and a distant last place is Latinas.
My thought is that Indian men are becoming mainstream in a somewhat uniquely appealing way. One other reason is that Northern European descent white girls and Asian girls head to college in large numbers and good schools which means they have probably seen some cool Indian guys who fit the mold of a frat star or cool guy so cool Indians have been normalized.
Compare this to say a Latina or a white girl from a more Southern European background (Albanian, Italian, Greek, etc.) who prefers super macho guys and is raised to see men of my background as a stereotype. Now this could explain why I have done the worst with this demographic in an environment where pics are all they have to go off of.
Stay tuned for my next observation on another app.
I would like to contribute my observation and trends from Hinge and CMB. Hinge is gonna be tough since I will have to look through 187 matches!

2020.10.21 19:34 VoodooChemist [For Hire] Legit, Specialized Organic Chemistry (Orgo) Tutor! Over 300 students helped so far with Vouch thread. (Updated -- 10/11)

Update (10/11/2020): It seems like I have been added to the list of scammers by one of the parties. If you are unsure which side to believe, perhaps consider picking the side that actually allows students/tutors to opt out of the spam. Feel free to contact me (at no obligation to you whatsoever) for us to discuss this allegation -- most students do end up hiring me after contacting me to discuss said accusation; I think you will find it very helpful too.
Update (09/14/2020): Yes, I am aware that there are bots that automatically reply to this post with all sorts of nonsense, but I choose not to concern myself with the petty squabbles of this subreddit. However, in anticipation of coming off as a bot myself, I have placed this statement here as an acknowledgement that I do post my advertisement myself once everyday.
Hello everyone, now that fall semester is up and running, I am offering my services to help you with your organic chemistry exam/assignment/homework, including graduate level courses and proposals. My students and I usually communicate via Zoom over the entire duration of the exam, with me screen-sharing my tablet so that you can see exactly what I am writing as we tackle the exams together.
I have a vouch thread on my profile, where students I have worked with in the past write about their experiences. There have also been attempts from competitors to tarnish my reputation (now ceased), you can find my response here as well. https://www.reddit.com/useVoodooChemist/comments/g7mpan/vouches_for_voodoochemist/
Why you should choose me:
  1. I am heavily specialized and only offer my services in the field of organic chemistry, nothing else. You can rest assured that you are in knowledgeable hands. Mechanisms, reactions, retrosynthesis, NMR, IR, MS, lab techniques are all comfortably within my realm.
  2. I am qualified - graduated top 10 in my cohort from a top university in UK with triple first class honors, now pursuing total synthesis in a top US university. In total, I have been pursuing organic chemistry for more than a decade, and have also worked in the industry on pharmaceutical synthesis and drug design.
  3. I have never disappointed a student (and don't plan to!); check my vouch thread for more information!
I can do a preliminary zoom session with you before the exam for free so you know that I am legitimate and also get a feel for how the virtual coaching session will feel like. So far, I've been consistently scoring 80+%, with my highest being 100%.
Contact me for rates, negotiations and more details! Please kindly include your exam date, time (including time zone) and format (length, mcq/open-ended, retrosynthesis/mechanism heavy, etc.) so that I can give you an accurate quote.

Planting a Tree, Sowing a Future

The current climate crisis can be viewed as a simplified budget imbalance: what is removed from the system (carbon sink) is being overrun by the amount that has been introduced or recirculated (carbon source). A resource or reservoir can serve as both a sink and a source: oil, gas and coal are extensive carbon sinks when buried and inert, but are introduced as sources of carbon once extracted and burned. The same holds for trees that store carbon as biomass or in the organic matter of soil, but release that carbon following decay, erosion, burning or deforestation.

The world’s land-based ecosystems, including forests, grasslands and tundra, are a net-carbon sink, with an estimated 3 trillion trees standing tall around the world, in addition to plants and plant-like microorganisms. As you may remember from your old textbooks, green plants convert CO₂ into carbohydrates, with oxygen given off as a byproduct of photosynthesis. The Amazon rainforests have been described as the “lungs of the planet” providing 20% of the world’s oxygen. Green algae and cyanobacteria are the types of organisms that initially filled our atmosphere with their waste product (oxygen) nearly 3 billion years ago. The smallest organisms have altered the planet drastically, so now have humans — a grand green planting mobilization could have the same effect. But the work of algae and cyanobacteria took millions of years; humans do not have millions of years to make a change.

Deforestation: Moving backwards

One of the most common dismissals of climate change is the misused assurance that “CO₂ is plant food-the Earth is getting greener!” If only that were true, yet we are witnessing the continuing upward creep of atmospheric levels of greenhouse gases and the acidification of oceans. A recent headline from Global Forest Watch paints a more realistic picture: The World Lost a Belgium-sized Area of Primary Rainforests Last Year. Researchers from the World Resources Institute (WRI), using satellite imagery and remote sensing to monitor tree cover losses from Brazil to Ghana, noted a tropical tree loss of over 30 million acres in 2018, the fourth-highest annual decline since records began in 2001, including nearly 9 million acres of primary rainforests. “Primary” rainforests include more mature trees, i.e., “old growth”; these are the forests that harbor greater diversity of life and absorb more carbon. According to the Arbor Day Foundation, an estimated 18 million acres of forests is lost every year.

The drivers of deforestation are many: small and large-scale agriculture and pasture, development (mining, logging, drilling), fuel, natural disasters and climate effects. Glenn Hurowitz, chief executive of Mighty Earth, a global environmental campaign organization, noted that “Deforestation causes more climate pollution than all the world’s cars, trucks, ships and planes combined.” Loss of tree cover peaked in 2016 when over 42 million acres of tropical forest were lost, partly due to rampant forest fires. Also at issue is palm oil production in Indonesia, and mining and farming in Africa. The highest deforestation rates have been shifting from Brazil and Indonesia to include Columbia, Ghana, Papua New Guinea and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Primary forest loss in Indonesia has dropped, some good news, indicating the power of advocacy and good government policies regarding protection of forests.

Trees as Solution

When it comes to climate action, the simplest solutions are often the best. The recent observance of Arbor Day stirred up many discussions on the role of trees in addressing climate change. The annual nod to trees follows quickly in the footsteps of Earth Day; similarly, one day a year coupled with a scattered landscape of events and slogans does little to address the growing importance of the underlying issues. This is not to say that the mission and efforts of environmental organizations such as the Arbor Day Foundation are without merit — on the contrary. The Arbor Day Foundation recently announced a new goal to plant 100 million trees by 2022. This goal isn’t (just) a tree-hugging feel-good endeavor: it is a legitimate action to stave off the worst of global warming, admirable even if the Foundation consciously chose not to use the term “climate change”.
Most of the benefits of forests and woodlands are obvious: as a fuel and commodity, as a home to biodiverse ecosystems and indigenous communities … but also to combat erosion, to serve as a resilient barrier to natural disasters, to support ecotourism and pollination, and to combat climate change. According to the Climate and Land Use Alliance, the world’s forests contain more carbon than all exploitable deposits of oil, gas and coal; forests are estimated to remove a quarter to a third of all CO₂ emissions added by humans annually.
The Paris Agreement established a goal to limit the average global temperature increase to less than 2°C above pre-industrial levels. However, the Agreement and the consensus view of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) advises no more than a 1.5°C increase, which requires a decrease of 45% in greenhouse gas emissions below 2010 levels by 2030 and a goal of zero emissions by 2050. As part of the Agreement, countries can receive compensation from the United Nations Green Climate Fund for forest conservation. Putting an end to anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases is a necessity, and will be largely accomplished through a transition off fossil fuel usage. However, even when our goal of zero emissions is achieved, it will leave the world in a place of unnatural warmth, a new status quo.
It is unlikely that humans can turn back the clock on climate change; some things cannot be fully restored or completed in the lifetime of those reading this sentence. However, to achieve a sustainable global system that provides the viability to which we had been accustomed, we need to endeavor for NEGATIVE carbon emissions. This requires removal of the carbon (CO₂, CH₄) that was added to the atmosphere by humans in the past couple hundred years, during which time levels of CO₂ rose from approximately 280 to over 410 parts per million.
The book Drawdown presents “100 solution to reverse global warming”; each solution is measured and modeled to determine its carbon impact through the year 2050, the total and net cost to society, and the total lifetime savings (or cost). Forests figure prominently, listed at Number 5 (Tropical Forests) and Number 12 (Temperate Forests), with CO₂ reductions estimated at 61 and 22 gigatons, respectively, by 2050. The authors of Drawdown envision these reductions through restoration of 435 and 235 million acres of tropical and temperate forests, respectively.
Tom Crowther, a climate change ecologist from Switzerland with an upcoming publication in Science, has determined that a potential 1.2 trillion trees could be planted in addition to the existing 3 trillion trees, with the appropriate planning, to garner a CO₂ reduction that would surpass Drawdown’s Number 1 solution: management of greenhouse gas emissions from refrigerators and air conditioners, which is estimated to reduce atmospheric CO₂ by 90 billion tons. To put that number in perspective, current annual CO₂ emissions amount to approximately 37 billion tons per year. Crowther has a simple message, “I’d like to try and champion this as a solution that everyone can get involved in. If all the millions of people who went on climate marches in recent weeks got involved in tree planting the impact would be huge.”
The Arbor Day Foundation’s Time for Trees initiative to plant 100 million trees is estimated to absorb 8 million tons of carbon, which is the equivalent of removing 6.2 million cars from the road for a year. The Foundation is only one of many organizations that have created tree-planting goals:
  • The National Wildlife Federation’s Trees for Wildlife program is aimed at partnerships with schools, local governments and municipalities to plant native trees and educate young people.
  • The government of Pakistan has undertaken a massive reforestation program, Billion Tree Tsunami, reaching its one-billion-tree planting goal back in August 2017. Pakistan was named by the UN as one of six countries to be most affected by climate change.
  • The youth-led Plant for the Planet campaign is taking on ecologist Tom Crowther’s inspiration to plant one trillion trees, having already planted over 15 billion trees around the world.
  • The Australian government has announced it will plant 1 billion trees by 2030.
  • There is work on establishing a “Great Green Wall” to stop the spread of the Sahara by restoring 100 million hectares of degraded land (and sequester 250 million tons of carbon).
  • China also has an anti-desertification program known as the “Great Green Wall” that has planted more than 50 billion trees since the 1970s.
  • The UN-endorsed Bonn Challenge aims to reforest 350 million hectares of degraded land globally by 2030.
“Bold action is needed to tackle this global crisis including restoring lost forests. But unless we stop them being destroyed in the first place, we’re just chasing our tail,” Greenpeace UK Executive Director, John Sauven.

Will it be enough?

Reforestation is a promising solution — effective, relatively cheap and fast to implement. However, as long as the current rates of deforestation continue, we are truly doing little more than chasing our tail. Reforestation and restoration also require planning, land, money, and leadership. Ironically, there are intertwined effects of climate change that contribute to deforestation and would partially thwart any globalized replanting efforts: outbreaks of disease and infestation (e.g., bark beetles destroying Europe’s forests), drought, flooding, decimation by wildfires, and lack of political will as noted by the recent decision of Ontario’s Premier to cancel the planting of 50 million trees (to cut costs). Existing and restored woodlands and other carbon-sink ecosystems such as grasslands and mangrove forests would require protection through public policy and enforcement, and market-driven mechanisms. Programs similar to UN-REDD+ can provide incentives for poorer countries and communities to protect their wooded resources.
Fast-paced reforestation is a great solution and obviously beneficial beyond greenhouse gas reductions. But what we don’t have much of is time, the time to wait for trees to mature in 30 to 40 years. We need to bolster the carbon sequestration found through natural means with other techniques. Man-made technologies with a goal of carbon sequestration are often referred to as carbon capture or negative emission technology (NET). A study from the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine estimated that the world will need to remove as much as 10 gigatons of CO₂ from the atmosphere each year by mid-century — nearly twice the current annual emissions in the US from burning fossil fuels. Once considered an alternative or optional step, it is increasingly apparent that these technologies need to be part of a larger arsenal of action.
WRI has a publication series, CarbonShot, detailing the present and future scenarios for carbon removal from several carbon capture and storage (CCS) technologies. This includes direct air capture with storage (DACS), which are machines that literally pull carbon out of the air, usually from point sources such as power plants, using chemical scrubbing. Another emerging CCS option is bioenergy with carbon capture and storage (BECCS), which converts feedstock (such as plant matter) into usable form for power and heat. Captured carbon can be incorporated into a variety of products such as concrete, carbon fibers and biochar — or carbon can be placed into deep storage via injection into underground geological formations. Currently, there is no existing BECCS facility and less than a handful of independent DACS projects to date. Carbon capture has been used previously in submarines and inhabited space vessels, as well as in some industrial ventures: Norway’s state-owned petroleum company, Statoil, began sequestering the CO₂ content of extracted natural gas from a gas field off the coast of Norway into an aquifer about 1000 meters below the seabed. According to reports on the company’s website, approximately 11 million tons of CO₂ had been safely stored as of 2008.
The National Academies report recommends as much as $1 billion annually in US government funding for research on NETs. You can’t get someone to do something (remove carbon from the air) for nothing (little to no economic incentive). As long as belching out greenhouse gases into the air is free, mobilizing CCS technologies would require market incentives such as a carbon tax that puts a price on anthropogenic emissions, as well as research and development, and planning for deployment and synergy.

2020.10.21 15:37 thunder083 I have found my karma on this sub interesting as some accept a different view point of history while others refuse to do so. Interesting as Assassin Creed is partly meant to challenge our understanding of history. So here is my thoughts on it and the series in particular regard to the Vikings.

Now before people come in here screaming Karma whore am actually not bothered by it. I have posted this as, I continue to be fascinated how some accept our perceptions of history change and how some clearly don’t or are unwilling to engage when you provide a counter argument. One of the ways for me to see this is through the Karma system as similar posts have different downvote upvote results. I am also sorry as this will be a long post. The next 4 paragraphs provide context then I move on to Vikings. I apologise for length.
Moving on, I think both Black Flag with Pirates and Valhalla with Vikings are great titles for the series as they both clearly show history is not as simple as saying pirate/raider bad other guys good. Arguably Odyssey as well as it explores the Athenian and Spartan conflict of ideas and who is right or wrong in history. Simply put it is one of the core themes of the series. I say this as to me I find it interesting that people say we are playing a Viking how can we be good. Simply because they were not all conquering and raiding. It’s a bit like women in Greece after Odysseys release, not all of them were upper class Athenians or Spartans as that all we really know from written sources.
Now moving on from that last sentence on Vikings, the ideas of the Viking raiding and pillaging comes from two sources, popular media like TV shows and from some how they are taught history and where that teaching comes from. Now to start with I am from the UK and I understand this will not be the same for everyone. When I was taught history in primary and high school, it was like this The Vikings went here, did this and we know this from writer x who says that person did this. Now I used Vikings but it was the same for all time periods, it was very black and white with no shades of grey nuance or challenging of ideas. I feel a great failure here certainly when I was in school was the lack of analysis of the evidence, that should have happened in later years of my education. It is probably why I never did history later on. It was just supposed facts presented to you that may or may not be correct often outdated though.
Now I left school with very few qualifications but after a few years went to college then onto University to study Archaeology then a masters on Ancient Cultures. For clarity my interests are in the Late Bronze Age/ Early Iron Age trade and colonisation in particular the often over looked or down played Phoenicians. Even AC Odysseys discovery tour does this for Kythira. At University though I did two terms each on Celtic Civilisation and History. I also had courses on Vikings so while not my strong points I know enough of the basics though Vikings I took extra interest in their trading.
Enough about me and my biases, what’s that.... yes we all have biases in history it’s natural. So did those writing history or analysing history. So how they interpret and how I do it can result in different view points. For example there was no complete collapse of the Bronze Age system in my and others view. Now for some reading this they will say that is not what I was taught you are wrong or in the sub downvote downvote. And that is fine I challenged your view of history and you don’t like it. I would rather you engage on it but some do not feel comfortable or confident doing so and that is fair enough. But if you do then I would request then maybe doing some research and finding you were partly right and I was or you were wrong and I was right or even I was wrong and you can validate what you say.
Simply put though history and our understanding of it is never simple. And view points and understanding change with more evidence. The Vikings are certainly one example of this as our knowledge and understanding of the period has changed considerably over the last 100 years. With archaeology we have began to uncover a more complex picture of what happened and when. So we know from material culture, language and other sources that instead of Vikings we have different groups such as the Norse, Danes etc expanding beyond their shores. And each were different from the other even though they shared similar traits. It is the same for other groups such as the Germanic tribes or the Slavic migrations. It would be like putting Christian Europe together later on and saying they were the same culturally etc. It is the same for the Celtic world. I was downvoted for saying Ireland and Scotland were not in anyway similar. Despite in most areas at the time being Celtic there was regionally differences. And they were not tribes either just like the Danes weren’t as someone tried to argue with me about but organised societies that maybe featured different rulers.
In that I mean there may have been several Jarldoms, kingdoms or whatever in Denmark pre Viking but they were all mostly Dane. They were distinct though from the Norse. If we go to before the Viking expansion we can see these differences in language for example. The Norse spoke Old Norse while the Danes spoke a proto version of Norse. In Scotland we have Strathclyde, Dal Riada, Picts and other groups. Again through language despite closer proximity to each other we see distinct differences between them with Strathclyde having a P type Celtic language similar to Welsh and Dal Riada because it was mainly Irish settlers they a Q type Celtic language like Irish. We also see differences in art, material culture etc. It is the same in Scandinavia Pre and during the Viking period. And it is through those differences we can see which group went where Danes across Northern Europe and Eastern England, Norse to Shetland and Orkney and from their to mainland Scotland and down the western islands to the Isle of Man, Wales and Ireland. Apart from the evidence the reasons are logical as great as Viking ships they still faced considerable challenges traversing the North Sea so you go in smaller steps to each location. It’s maybe why the Swedes mainly went East. We see this idea in the Mediterranean as well you don’t just go from your Phoenician lands straight to Iberia you do it in smaller steps. I will stress that while the majority followed those paths naturally a minority would mix with other groups.
One problem to our understanding of the Vikings is the written evidence which rarely survives from the time period and is mostly from later periods. It is also from a later christian bias, so it has to critically analysed when used as evidence as reliability is an issue. So when we had less archaeology to help us, early Historians would gladly however take this written evidence and say they were violent raiders and pillagers. It is a view that has continued to resonate even though evidence from archaeology and other sources paint a more complex picture where they were also settling and were excellent traders. So while it’s natural to say based on what the majority were presented with in media and history lessons but why play the bad guys, the Vikings were much more complex than that. And this why it’s a great time period for Ubisoft to do
Ultimately the same can be said for any area or time period, again using the Mediterranean which has been dated according to the classical sources. So Carthage in the sources is dated to the 9th century BC. Evidence points however to a Punic presence in the area during 10th century BC much earlier than the written sources. So ask one person and they will go with the classical evidence ask someone else and they will go with the dating evidence. So our understanding of history is not set in stone and our interpretation can vary depending on sources used. So you could read through this and happily say he’s so wrong downvote downvote. But that is why I like Assassins Creed it challenges our understanding of history and then adds a fun story and concept on top of it.
So to finish despite liberties being taken with time period (understandable from a game play perspective) and who was who in game along with no Scotland, I am excited for Valhalla and can’t wait to play as a Viking raider.
Apologies for length, I love history and archaeology and love talking about it. And I found the contradictory downvote upvote interesting. Ultimately up though it’s what I enjoy about history in that we can all have our own interpretations of the evidence or from what we have been taught so it can be fun to discuss.
I just want to say again apologies for length and well done if you read it all.

Actually true, both in the US[1] and in the UK [2] [3]1 .
Completely biased articles. Of course a small percentage of the population living, for the most part, in one of the most expensive cities in the world, will be poor, especially since most of them are 2nd or first generation immigrants. However it's bullshit to say that there's some sort of bias against them or there's anything stopping them. There's 100% no racial bias for getting into Russel group universities either, proven by your own article that you've linked that show that asian students outperform white people in this regard, yet one of your other articles clearly shows that they're "oppressed", right? Bullshit.
Any sort of "oppression" black people face in the Uk is almost entirely self-inflicted. They have a ridiculous obsession with african american culture - american style gangs, rap music, "black oppression" and blaming the white man for everything. There is literally nothing stopping them from changing it. I really dare you to find a single institution that is somehow angled against them.
Also, it's really funny are you try to use these articles to prove anything, but even the articles themselves clearly show that there is a really small difference between these groups. A shockingly small difference in fact given that these are minority groups in a majority white country.
When a terrorist attack is carried out by radical islamic terrorists, entire muslim populations are collectively expected to condemn the attack and the media coverage puts their ethnicity front and center.
This is entirely a different discussion, if you really want to discuss the "religion of peace" with me, you're welcome to PM me, I won't address this here at all because it won't be productive in the slightest and changes the topic.
Meanwhile, when some ultra-conservative/right-wing white guy carries out a terrorist attack, the are portrayed in the media as a lone wolf and and the focus of the narrative is generally on their mental health rather than their ethnic, religious or ideological background.
Do you hear yourself? Of course he's a lone wolf, because he doesn't live in a place that promotes these values and it's his own personal beliefs, not an organised system of religion dating back over a thousand years that clearly outlines that he needs to do these things. It is about mental health, 100% entirely and completely, there's no organised sect telling these people to do this, the best you can come up with is probably some shitposting internet forums.
All your links in this part are talking about the United States, so I won't address any of them because this isn't about the united states at all and I don't see the point in discussing the politics of a third world country.

Source.
Thursday (11/5) and Friday (11/6), 8am to noon Silverado High School (1650 Silver Hawk Ave, never Spencer and I-215) will be providing free testing.
Source.
Remain mindful to give our medical community the ability to focus on those in need of their expertise to survive and combat the virus.

2020.10.20 20:25 ClipIn r/PelotonCycle has surpassed 100k subscribers!

It can be argued that the community at /pelotoncycle is many things. That said, one thing we have never been is “numbers focused.” We aren’t going to send out messages to all members trumpeting 200,000 users, or make videos touting growth rate, or mail free swag because we hit some random number. It’s just not our gig. Mostly because we don’t come here to brag (and especially not humblebrag); we’re here to focus on improving ourselves. As athletes, as people.
So let's be honest as we hit 100,000 subscribers - “subscribers” isn’t that meaningful a metric; it’s just how many people clicked “join” in the sidebar. Which only adds new posts to your reddit homepage. That's it. We know there's already a lot more people here than that. Traffic is a much more useful (and not typically public) metric. So here's the real deal folks: we see about 4.5 million hits per month. Meaning user-stickiness, aka retention or participation, is one of the highest of any fitness community online – anywhere. In a typical month, there's 1,000+ new posts and over 35,000 comments. At any time of the day or night, there’s 800-4,000 people here. As I write this at 11pm on a Sunday night, there’s 1,337 people here. Right now. That’s crazy!
We are not affiliated with Peloton Interactive. We are user-started, user-run. By members just like you. Despite never once getting promoted by corporate, we've long been the largest Peloton Community in the world. We're proud of what you have created here on reddit.
So having said all that, it is undeniable that /pelotoncycle is growing, and as we eclipse 100,000 subscribers, we thought it might be fun to look back at where we’ve been and where we’d like to go!
I came to reddit – much like I suspect most of you – to find a place to learn about Peloton. As a lifelong athlete, learning everything about the sport seemed…natural. When I joined the pelotoncycle mod team in 2017 we had about 1,000 subscribers. Sure, we didn’t have many posts; we averaged two to five a week! But, they were high quality, interesting, detailed, and best of all by people passionate about fitness and Peloton. People from California to Connecticut, and international friends who’d “snuck” a Peloton to their homes as far as the UK, Germany, Argentina, Sweden, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
In many ways, we haven’t changed that much. Same quality, more friends! From the earliest days, our mission has been unwavering. To have a place for real answers to hard-hitting questions about Peloton. To get the most from your subscription. A place to pursue our athletic goals. To become better athletes, better people. Realizing that personal growth was more about looking in the mirror than shitposting selfies.
After those early days, it was clear Reddit offered a platform for communication that was very beneficial to the Peloton community. Not only could users submit high-impact posts, but the community is self-regulating via the vote arrows; bubbling good info to the top, bad info out of sight (or flagging for deletion). This mechanism has borne out to be very useful, and has resulted in not only some very impactful posts for the community... but also some very “memorable” ones.
Some of the highest rated community posts over the last year were “Guide to Peloton yoga classes/instructors (thoughts after 250 classes)”, announcements of Peloton donating $500k to the NAACP, and introducing Barre Classes.
You all are an outspoken, intelligent, introspective bunch; you’ve fearlessly created a spreadsheet of Peloton’s entire library w/ music, instructors and links – and then leaked it. Last night, you leaked an updated copy. Your timing with this post is at times hilarious and serendipitous. Others have called out “Assholes on the official Facebook page. Well... maybe you’ve done that more than once.
Some of the more memorable posts included:
One other thing we’ve grown in 2019-2020 is community engagement. It’s not easy building a community where people want to engage and give back - to friends. Online. Yet, here you are! We’ve setup giveaways, challenges, and an annual Secret Santa. December 2019 marked /Pelotoncycle’s third Secret Santa. 94 users participated, compared to 40ish in 2018 and 15ish in 2017. After watching the success and growth of these events — just check out all these user-to-user Thank You Threads — we realized there was a huge need for even more interactive events in the /pelotoncycle community.
All of this wouldn’t be possible without the time and efforts of (in absolutely no particular order) my fellow mods u/Fraukoko and u/Kraphtyone; and everyone’s favorite not-a-mod-but-codes-stuff-for-free u/NCBarkingDogs. They (and I) are all volunteers. We're not affiliated with Peloton Interactive. We're members just like you! None of us have monetized this place. We’ve literally never made $0.01 here. We mods pay out of our pockets for Amazon servecloud space, giftcards for challenges, and swag for giveaways; we donate our time to moderate, to code, to answer questions, to build (and re-build) the wiki. And you – you contribute your time, knowledge, dedication. To help total strangers. On the internet. So you can become a better athlete, and so they can do the same. When I look at pelotoncycle, I firmly believe you embody the very spirit of sport. We all have careers, families, commitments, and hobbies beyond Peloton. Just like you, we come here in our free time.
In March, NCBarkingDogs helped build the framework for these special events with creation of the PelotonBot (affectionately named Anton) and Automatic Flair. Using this Automatic Flair has not only allowed us to seamlessly pull Peloton achievements to Reddit, it has allowed us to create Milestone Monday to celebrate our friends who have hit milestones with Peloton. It has allowed creation of /pelotoncycle events, such as Pelothong 2020 (HAIL THONG SONG) and Peloween Fright Week.
Pelothong and Peloween wouldn’t have happened without the loving dreams and oversight of u/kraphtyone, u/NCBarkingDogs's tireless scorekeeping and bot-coding, and u/Fraukoko delightedly finding spooky themes.
Pelothong was such a success and huge milestone for our community. Thomas couldn’t let this spooky season go without a spooky themed challenge. So he put together Peloween Fright Week just a month after Pelothong finished. If you haven’t already, please join us and SIGN UP HERE. Kraphty’s idea exploded with plenty of spooky input from our Halloween and horror movie expert FrauKoko. If you liked Pelothong, you’re gonna have a blast w/ this one!
Here at the reddit Peloton page, we’ve: compiled the most extensive source of Peloton info anywhere via our wiki with huge thanks to u/fraukoko. We had a lot of great info in our first version of the wiki but we had lots of hidden treasures in prior threads. That's now in one place. And the wiki gets better almost daily with new info, tips, and tricks being added. It's easy to call it the most comprehensive, accurate, and up-to-date Peloton resource available. Anywhere.
Beyond this, members here created the first app, BlueHeartApp, to broadcast Apple Watch’s HR to the bike/tread/iOS/Android and any BLE-enabled fitness equipment. You guys and girls wrote free software that downloads your detailed second-by-second workout data from Peloton’s API and saves them in fitness-industry-standard .TCX files. So you can upload them – anywhere. Keep them on your PC forever. Analyze in any app or fitness tool.
We’ve seen leaks of every major and minor Peloton product plan since 2017, from class libraries, new features, marketing strategy, to the new (still unannounced) rower, the new bike and new Tread. We saw the bike+ before employees knew about it, when it was a secret internal thing called “Project Titan”. And, you got to see Ben Alldis sitting on a rower in a Peloton studio testing out the new rower setup. Even before the new NYC “Super Studio” was built, you knew there would be four rooms – one of which for rowing machines.
When we look to our future, one thing is clear to the mod team here at /Pelotoncycle — having high quality members that are engaged will drive our growth and success. We would clearly not be at 100k subscribers without YOUR high quality posts and regular engagement. Not only do you submit high quality posts, but they indirectly help moderate. Reporting questionable content flags stuff that might “fly under the radar” but still need moderation. Downvoting troll posts and incorrect information helps to reduce – and delete - misinformation. As we continue to add members, user engagement in this fashion will continue to allow us to discuss the “tough” issues, like #BlackLivesMatter, asking for the best of our friends on Facebook, praising Peloton’s removal of QAnon tags, and ongoing discussions about political issues being discussed by instructors in workouts. We try to tackle these issues, the good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly, all in a fair and charitable fashion—something that uniquely sets us apart from every other online Peloton forum.
We have some really exciting things coming down the pipeline at /pelotoncycle. We aren’t ready to share them all, but a few sneak peaks:
So as we hit 100k - but more importantly as we all grow in our athletic and personal endeavours - don’t forget to look back and take stock of how far you’ve come. As we say in the “Milestone Monday” celebration threads: This subreddit doesn't try to make you strong, beautiful, or capable. We're here to remind you that you already are. So take a moment to be proud of what you’ve built. Take two.
Thank you: from all the mods, to all of you.

2020.10.20 19:15 thisismylife56 Need advice regarding a fuckboy.

Well as the title. I met this guy (25) on a dating app early April this year, we hit it off quiet well on messages, he isint my normal type i go for but he is handsome. After a couple of weeks of chatting he became my 'stress ball', every time i was in a bad mood or something happened i was roasting him for no reason and he was just turning it into a joke and taking it on his chest. Anyway i was dating around and i was not even considering meeting him, cuz who wants to meet a fuckboy?. Until the last guy i dated decided to give me the 'is not you, is me' message. So i was like what harm will it do if i just meet him for a drink, which happened a month ago (i knew he was a fuckboy as we messaged alot about our lives, he was brought up in Italy, then lived in Ibiza and now uk so u get the message 😅). Anyway 1st date went well, he ofcourse tried to kiss me but didnt happen, as i could see how smooth he was with his actions etc. Now we are a month in and he labelled us as gf, bf like 2weeks ago. Its going pretty well so far. Im not giving him my 100% and he can see that and that pisses him off a bit, but why would I? So my question is, has anyone been with a fuckboy? What to expect? Can u give someone like him your 100%? as i used to be like him back in the day im also 25 and i know how quick u can move on etc etc, but grew out of it a bit now. I can see he tries, he introduces me to new friends every weekend and he even cried a week ago telling me how much he doesnt want to lose me? He is also very protective of me when we go out, (never experience that before either). Sorry for the long message guys but I have never been in a situation like this especially with a guy like him. And online u cant find alot regarding the topic. And for the record i can be quite a b*tch at times also, so he knows not to cross me. He also tells his friends how he even considered trying with me for around 6months as it never happened to him before. He always makes time for me no matter what, always textes me in the morning, throughout the day and the goodnight message. And yes he already told me that he loves me, and he hasn't felt like this for a really long time and even called himself emotionless before he met me? Any advice will be highly appreciated guys! Thank you xx

2020.10.20 18:03 autotldr Fake naked photos of thousands of women shared online

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 80%. (I'm a bot)
Faked nude images of more than 100,000 women have been created from social media pictures and shared online, according to a new report.
Deepfakes are computer-generated, often realistic images and video, based on a real template.
The BBC tested multiple images, all with the subjects' consent, and none were completely realistic - our results included a photo of a woman with a belly button on her diaphragm.
Sensity reported that between July 2019 and 2020, approximately 104,852 women have been targeted and had fake naked images of them shared publicly.
Its investigation found that some of the images appeared underage, "Suggesting that some users were primarily using the bot to generate and share paedophilic content."
The current UK law around fake nude images has recently been criticised for being "Inconsistent, out-of-date and confusing" in a university report.

2020.10.20 16:16 VoodooChemist [For Hire] Legit, Specialized Organic Chemistry (Orgo) Tutor!

This week’s playlist theme has been chosen by the community, as voted in by the pole posted last week. Thanks to those of you who voted. It was pretty hard for me to cut back my list of nostalgic tracks to 1 hour, so for those of you who may be interested in a longer listening session, you can check out the Ⓙ 90's Kids BOUNCE! playlist which currently has over two and a half hours of music in it. The following list contains genre information, additional information and some details for song choice/rationale for the Ⓙ Rebrand: Nostalgia (21/10/20) playlist:
DARE - Gorillaz: [Genres: alternative hip hop, art pop] Starting out with the 2005 hit song by the British virtual band Gorillaz. It's off their second studio album, Demon Days. It peaked at number one on the UK Singles Chart in 2005, becoming the band's only UK number one hit. Interesting fact: the song was originally meant to be titled "It's There", but was changed due to Shaun Ryder's strong accent making it sound like he was saying "It's dare." This title came from him requesting a change to his headphones levels and saying, "it's going up, it's going up, it's there!" This is the song that first got me interested in the Gorillaz, and since then I have enjoyed so much of their music, with their latest album "The Now Now" being my favourite. I still have a lot of respect for their earlier stuff though, and this track is a banger.
Who Is It - Michael Jackson: [Genres: R&B, soul, pop] It is no secret that MJ was a phenomenal pop artist and this track has to be one of my absolute favourites. The album it is from: “Dangerous” (released in 1991) has to be my personal favourite in his discography. It is well decorated, having won 5 major awards including a Grammy for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. You can tell, it is produced and mastered so incredibly well for the time, even holding up by today's standards. Apart from winning 5 awards, it was also nominated for an additional 7 more awards in the year of release. This is actually a pretty emotional song, but it hits hard. I've always loved this number, but the whole album is great. RIP: MJ.
Robot Rock - Daft Punk: [Genres: electronic rock, dance-rock, filter house, electro] This is the lead single from Daft Punk's third studio album: "Human After All". This song reached a moderately high chart position and continues to be one of their most popular tracks in their large discography. It features a sample of "Release the Beast" performed by Breakwater which features a synthesizer riff, as well as percussion and power chords on an electric guitar. There really was some unique production techniques with the synthesizers and sampling from this group and this track certainly shows that off.
Where’s Your Head At - Basement Jaxx: [Genres: disco house, big beat, alternative dance, vocal house, new rave, electronica] I’m sure a few people can relate and recognise this one as it peaked at number number 16 in the Australian charts back in 2001. This track has a great music video too and it was nominated for multiple awards in 2002.
Move Your Feet - Junior Senior: [Genres: Danish pop, rock, dance music, electronic music] This is the Danish duo’s biggest hit, reaching No. 20 in Australia in 2003. This track has also been used in a lot of advertising culture throughout as well as use in films and TV series. MAybe some people remember it from PlayStation 3's SingStar.
Galvanize - The Chemical Brothers: [Genres: big beat, rave, electronica, alternative dance, breakbeat, new rave, trip hop, house music, hip hop] This track features vocals by Q-Tip from A Tribe Called Quest. Tribe has to be one of my favourite hip hop groups of all time, so naturally I gravitated to this track. This track won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2006.
Freestyler - Bomfunk MC’s: [Genres: eurodance, europop, bubblegum dance, hip hop music, grime, breakbeat, electronica, funky house] This is a song by Finnish hip hop group Bomfunk MC's released worldwide in 2000. I’m sure everyone who was alive at the time and over the age of 6 must recognise this song as it was a worldwide success, topping the charts in more than ten countries. It is primarily a breakbeat song, with strong influences of UK dance culture and electronic dance music, as well as some influences from hip hop.
Soldier - Eminem: [Genres Detroit hip hop, rap, hip hop] This is one of my favourite tracks off the widely considered most anticipated album of 2002, the fourth studio album “The Eminem Show” by American rapper Eminem, with Dr. Dre being the album's executive producer. It sold over 1.3 million copies in its second week in the US and ended up being the best-selling album of the year worldwide, with songs topping charts around the world. I feel like a lot of the tracks off this album incorporate a heavier use of rap rock than Eminem's previous albums so it segways well into the next segment.
Butterfly - Crazy Town: [Genres: rap rock, funk metal, nu metal, alternative metal, rap metal, nu metal, alternative rock, hip hop music] This classic song by American rap rock band Crazy Town gained mainstream popularity and peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. In Australia it was within the top ten on the charts in 2001. The song is based on a sample of "Pretty Little Ditty" from the Red Hot Chili Peppers' 1989 album Mother's Milk.
Points of Authority - Linkin Park: [Genres: rap metal, post-grunge, alternative metal, nu metal] This track by Linkin Park is the fourth track off their first studio album, Hybrid Theory. I was a huge LP fan back in the day, but I only ever listened to their first few albums and a bunch of their underground stuff. I (along with many others) have not listened to the vast majority of their later stuff (is this the reason Chester hit the deck? ⊙﹏⊙ RIP Chester) I have chosen to feature the 20th Anniversary Edition as this is Linkin Park's latest release and I like to pay tribute to that. 20 years later and I still bang this on every now and again. Certainly has been a huge part of my music taste and shaping over the years. This is not the most popular track off the album, that would be “In the End”, but I personally like this track better.
My Generation - Limp Bizkit: [Genres: rap metal, funk metal, nu metal, alternative metal, wrestling] This is song by the American rap rock band Limp Bizkit, released in 20 years ago on the album Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water. The song was released as the first single simultaneously with "Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)" which was more popular, but again, I like this track more. Side story: I was raised by lovely, conscious “hippy” - like parents - and went to a Steiner school for the first few years of my schooling. Listening to Limp Bizkit would NOT have been approved by my parents, but I secretly bought this record, along with The Eminem Show from a market and hid them from my parents. I would get them out late at night or when they weren't around and listen to them on my discman.
Vultures - The Offspring: [Genres: socal pop punk, permanent wave, skate punk, punk, alternative metal, pop punk, rock] "Vultures" is the twelfth track and my personal favourite song off The Offspring's sixth album, Conspiracy of One, released in 2000. I believe this song is about somebody who believes they are losing their mind due to their relationship. This is a song off an album I listened to so many times that I actually had to put it down for several years and take a break. Still, 20 years later, I get some good vibes from banging it on now and then.
Anthem for the Year 2000 - Silverchair: [Genres: Australian psych, grunge, post-grunge, alternative rock, Australian alternative rock, alternative metal, pop rock, nu metal, rock] This is song by the Australian rock band Silverchair, released as the first single from their third album, Neon Ballroom. It reached number 3 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, which made it the group’s sixth top-ten single. Silverchair truly do deserve their spot in Australia's rock history. Silverchair have won more ARIA Music Awards than any other artist in history with 21 wins from 49 nominations. As Silverchair’s music evolved and became more ambitious over the years, starting from grunge on their debut to more recent work displaying orchestral and art rock influences, I feel this third album “Neon Ballroom” hit a sweet spot for me and provided some good influence in my music taste for both myself and my friendship group.
Californication - Red Hot Chili Peppers: [Genres: funk rock, funk metal, permanent wave, alternative rock, rock] This is the most widely known and most frequently performed Red Hot Chili Peppers track off their seventh album, Californication, released in 1999. The album peaked at number 1 for Australian Albums (ARIA) in 1999 and went 8× Platinum in Australia selling >560,000 copies. This is my favourite album by the group and thanks to streaming services I no longer have to listen to the skipping tracks due to the scratched, overused CD we owned.
The following is a list of honorable mentions that didn't make the cut due to time restraints (these can be found in the Ⓙ 90's Kids BOUNCE! playlist):

2020.10.20 12:05 TollhouseFrank Tour de WoT - Tech tree icons for new players

Hello ladies and gents!
This guide is going to be geared towards the new player. It is one thing for us to point you at a Tier 10 and say "this is going to be perfect as your first Tier 10". What I want to do is point out the 'Icons of WoT' that you will find along the way.
These tanks are icons for a myriad of reasons. Unique Mechanics. Real world history. They could be a ton of fun to play. Sometimes, they are just so bad, you need warned ahead of time.
I will be presenting to you each nation, and giving you 3-5 tanks from each that you, as a new player, should try to experience playing - or in some cases - avoid playing at some time in your playing career. I will be using the following criteria in my choices:
  1. Must be at lowest Tier V, and at highest Tier IX. While there are several fun tanks at tier IV and lower, and many iconic Tier X's, tier V to IX is where you will spend the majority of your time in game, so this is where I am concentrating on.
  2. They must currently be in the tech tree. Yes, there are many fun/unique tanks that are now collector tanks in the collector store (you have to have a tank of the same nation/tier unlocked to get access to these tanks). There are even many awesome and fun premiums out there. But for the purposes of this guide, I am going with tech tree only.
  3. I will describe why they are icons and why I believe you should experience playing them or even keeping in garage.
  4. I am human and can't keep my opinions fully out of this. So in that stead, I hope that our community can also chime in and add in their opinions on some iconic tanks that they think I overlooked.
These will be in no particular order. These are just tanks that are iconic. Hopefully, once you play them, you will find out why!

Tank Comments
M4A1 A classic vehicle. The M4 Sherman is one of the most well known tanks in history. In game, it is quite decent in its historical setup with the 76mm. However, this tank comes into its own with the 105mm howitzer mounted. No, you will not always have great games in it. However, it is rare to come away from a match without at least 1 laugh from a massive damage roll when a HE round from your howitzer hits and penetrates your enemy. This is a fun one to keep around for occasional credit grinding or random low/mid tier lols.
T29 While only a test-bed in real life, this tank has become a monster in this game. Even from the earliest days of WoT, this has been very powerful. The turret is nigh impenetrable frontally by anything it can face. It has a good 'stock' configuration with the 90mm from the M6 Heavy the tier before. Fully upgraded, this is one of a handful of tanks in this game that you can single handedly control the match in, even when bottom tier. Good in a beginner's hands. Monstrously overpowering in a good player's hands. This heavy will almost assuredly help you appreciate learning the art of hull-down.
T49 There are some amazing scouts in this game. This is not one of them. There are amazing combat lights in this game. This is not one of them. There is only 1 King of Derp. This is not him. Let me introduce you to the Prince of Derp. This is one of the tanks where it isn't the best at anything other than being a rush of excitement and fun almost every time you take it out in a match. The ability to speed along side of and/or behind an opponent, then tick off 1/2 or more of their health in a single hit? Evaporate enemy light tanks in a single shot? That is what this is about. Far from the best scout. However, easily one of the most fun light tanks you will ever play. Well worth keeping in garage just for the lol-factor alone.
T95 There are many TD's that are technically 'better' vehicles. There are, however, none more intimidating. Affectionately known as "The Doom Turtle" for good reason. You can solo hold a flank against insurmountable odds, because people are afraid to push you. You are nigh invulnerable frontally and will laugh as enemies donk shot after shot into you as you absorb it all without losing a single HP of damage. Yes, it is slow. Yes, it has weaknesses. In relation to WoT, it is still probably the most iconic TD in this game. This is a TD that you will learn to be cautious of, as the first time you make the mistake of wondering in front of one in a match, you will learn a very painful lesson.
M44 Who said I couldn't call an arty iconic? You want to be hated? You want to be cursed at? You want people to tell you how they hope that you and all your family die of aids, cancer, being raped, or name-your-terrible-end? This is the vehicle for you. Great at earning credits. Often called one of the most OP/broken vehicles in the game. Whether you love arty, hate arty, or just don't care either way, you have to admit, this one stands out.

GERMANY
Tank Comments
Rhm.-B. WT There are some really iconic TD's in the German tree; almost all of them for historical reasons. However, for gameplay reasons, this one takes the strudel. A tissue in a hurricane has more armor. What makes this one stand out is the turret and 2 great gun choices. You can't go wrong with either gun, but my personal opinion is to use the 15cm for the lols. It is worth keeping in your garage. It is very powerful in the right circumstances, and it is rare that the 15cm gun won't give you at least 1 smile per match.
Tiger I In a tree full of historically significant tanks, one of them has to stand out. While not well armored compared to its peers, it has one of the best DPM's tier-for-tier in the game. It has an amazing ability to whittle away tons of health before the enemy even realizes it is gone. One of the first tanks people often admit to grinding to because of how famous it was from WW2. Don't expect the armor to save you. If you can keep safe while letting the gun sing - you should have some memorable matches before you move up to the recently buffed big brother Tiger II.
E-50 A tree full of historically significant tanks, and I go with a tank that is at best a paper concept? You can keep your Panther's and Tiger's. I - and many others in the game before you - take a sick and twisted joy out of ramming an enemy to death. One of the 3 or 4 best tanks for ramming in the game, you will find yourself grinning savagely as you slam into the enemy and do 500, 600, 700, even upwards of 1k damage on a lightly armored opponent. It doesn't happen very often, but the opportunity will arise, you will take it, and you will love it.
VK 100.01 P A heavy tank that isn't the Tiger 2, or other historical icon? No. This is a proto-Maus. It has absurd amounts of armor. Properly angled, it can even shrug off Tier 10's like they are nothing - if they are guilty of auto-aiming. It is slow as molasses. The stock gun works surprisingly well, and the top gun is beastly when top tier. When top tier against VI's and VII's, you are practically unkillable. Yes, people want the Maus because of how absurdly armored it is. However, this one is more absurd, considering the amount of armor it has against the opponents it gets to face.
Leopard PT A 'German Accuracy' is a meme in this game. However, this is the tank that defines it. What used to be a tank nobody wanted, WG buffed it and it suddenly became a mobile murder-mobile. Great gun handling, great mobility, all tempered a bit with armor that is about tough as a soft, fluffy pillow. Even after recent nerfs to undo what WG felt to be an overbuff, it is still considered by many to be one of the best, if not the best, mediums at tier 9 in the game.

USSR
Tank Comments
KV-2 Average armor. As quick as an one-legged cheetah. As stealthy as an elephant with bad gas. The KV-2 just doesn't care. Top or bottom tier. Open or city map. If there is ever a tank that I believe that every single player in this game should have in their garage, it is the KV-2. Once you fully research this out, you will start to realize why there are so many videos from content creators that feature the tank we lovingly call "The King of Derp". It is nearly impossible to play this tank and be mad. If you ever need a pick-me-up - KV-2 is here for you.
T-34-85 Based on a variation of one of the most famous tanks of WWII, this medium tank will captivate you and have you begging for more. If there was ever a perfect introduction to medium tank play, this is it. Mobility is high. It has armor that can work in the right situations. Gun choices galore. Even better? This leads to many of the most beloved high tier mediums in the game. If you want a medium tank branch to go down first - choose this, and you will likely be 100% satisfied
T-54 From an icon of WWII to an icon of the Cold War. In the beginning of WoT, this was known as the UFO - the netcode was so bad, that this tank appeared to 'teleport' around the battlefield. Now, it is easily one of the most dominant - in a good player's hands - tanks in the entire game. High mobility, good armor, and gun choices that will leave you satisfied. There are many who keep this in garage with a good crew, even after unlocking the Object 140 at tier X. It is absolutely a keeper.
IS-3 In a tree full of memorable and iconic heavies, it is hard to be more memorable than this. Trollish armor. Powerful Gun. Decent mobility. This is a heavy many folks will tell you they enjoyed - and for good reason. This one will likely give you a lot of fond memories as you work your way up to Tier X.
S-51 Another arty? Has Private_Public gone mad? Nay, I say! Nay! After changes to SPG's over the years, this is not the dreaded and fearsome armageddon machine it used to be. It no longer 1-shots even Tier 10's with impunity. However, for many players, this is the first SPG where you cross the 200mm size mark with a gun. It is slow, with terrible gun handling. You play this for one reason only - the splash radius and damage potential can cause grins for you, and many curses flung your way post-match.

UK
Tank Comments
Black Prince The UK tree has some really great and memorable tanks that are great fun to play. This one is an icon for a different reason. It is almost universally agreed upon as one of the worst heavy tanks tier for tier in the game. I personally loved it (then again, I'm daft in the head and love bad tanks). The mobility is bad. The armor only sort of works when top tier. The gun will have you crying many salty tears for how anemic it is. However, it is definitely all worth it, as Tier VIII+ in this branch are all good-to-great.
Conqueror The Centurions are icons for historical reasons, so it is hard to keep them out of this list. This is an icon because of gameplay reasons. Years ago before changes to the tree, this was a rough stock grind. Now, this is one of the easiest stock grinds at Tier IX. Fully upgraded, this heavy is more powerful than many Tier X tanks. It also includes a British mainstay - HESH rounds (HE rounds with high pen) that lets you do nasty things to tanks that have light armor or if you catch them in the side/rear. Take what you have learned about playing hull down and abuse it, here. You will find it pays off as you bounce shot after shot.
ALL UK Lights Tier 5+ I have a soft spot for the Covenanter in my heart. I still find it fun to play. But my goodness, is the rest of the branch made of rotten haggis. Some people will defend the Tier X as being "OK" and fun to play. However, the rest of the line to get there will have you hating yourself and wondering why WG would ever purposely try to ruin an entire tech tree with the stench of a single branch this bad.
Tortoise In a line full of heavily armored TD's with high DPM, this is easily the highlight. Tough enough to brawl up close with heavies. Accurate enough to snipe from range. 2nd highest DPM in the game. After buffs to this TD, it has become a gem that many people come to highly appreciate. While the Badger a tier up is more of the same, it just doesn't quite have the same magic.
Cromwell I would be remiss to leave this off the list. Have you ever heard of the concept "spray and pray"? This tank epitomizes that concept. It has a selection of guns that have such bad soft stats, it can't hit a target while on the move, with the target taped to the end of the gun barrel. The real joy in this tank comes when played in platoons of 3. You can swarm an enemy at close range with high mobility. With 3 guns and a high right of fire, you will be draining enemy HP so fast, they are back to garage before they can blink. Good alone. A monster in a platoon.

FRANCE
Tank Comments
AMX 65T I hated this tank. Everyone else who has played this tank hates it. You will hate it. If there was an award for 'worst tank in the game', this is surely it. This is a heavy tank with no armor, no mobility, and turrets that don't make up for it. It has gun handling that makes you want to gouge your eyes out with spoons made of sandpaper. If this tank had good mobility, it would be fine. If this tank had the armor to back up the poor mobility, it'd be fine. Without either, this is the most putrid tank in this entire tree, and possibly, the entire game. However, the tier IX and X past it are both definitely good.
Lynx 6x6 Until this point, the wheeled lights in this tree haven't been anything of note other than having an awesome anti-scout HE round. This is where you first get access to the high-mobility mode you will come to learn to both love and curse as you play up the tree. This will give you taste of what is to come.
AMX 13 90 When I first obtained this vehicle, it was a Tier VII light. Through the years (and expansion to the trees), it has seen time at tier VIII and now tier IX. It is far from the best scout. However, mid-late game, it is probably one of the most dangerous, as you suddenly become capable of possibly removing multiple tanks from the field in a single clip. In this tank, you are able to quickly turn the tide for your team in a tight match.
AMX 50 100 It is not a great heavy. It has no armor. It is large. It has a very slow clip load time. However, what this tank excels at is teaching you to conserve your HP, and to be careful on your trades. If you play your cards right, you are now one of the most deadly tanks in the game in the late match. With the ability to do 1800 damage in just a few seconds, you can in a single clip remove 2, 3, 4, or more tanks so quickly, that a tight match is suddenly blown wide open. Be cautious at the start of the match, go wild late match. A good tank to learn an appreciation for how powerful autoloaders can be in 'crunch time'.
AMX M4 51 How do you follow up possibly the worst tech tree tank in the game? The WG way - one of the best heavies in the game. Extremely strong frontal armor. 2 good guns that give 2 playstyles - brawling action, or aiming for overmatches on highly angled turret roofs or Swedish TD's. While many do not like the Tier X nearly as much, this heavy proves that the French are the best lovers. It will treat you right every time you take it out for a date.

CZECHOSLOVAKIA
Tank Comments
Skoda T 25 Pretty quick. Turns about as well as yak with a rocket stuck to it's back. The autoloader, along with the extremely fast reload, make this a great credit grinder in a good player's hands, and a very deadly opponent on the battlefield. Unfortunately, to get to the next good tank in the tree, you have to put up with some terrible times.
TVP VTU Speaking of terrible times, this is it. While the Tier VII is bad in its own right, this one is takes the bad to a new level. While I liked it (I tend to like 'bad tanks' as it is fun for me to find something positive about them), I'm the oddball here. Take the Tier VI premium Skoda T40. Stick it at Tier VIII with a slightly better gun. That is all you need to know.
Skoda T50 Sometimes, the grind is bad and there is never a payoff. In this case, there is a massive pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. While buffs to other medium tanks have curtailed enthusiasm for this medium tank some, it is still considered one of the most powerful mediums in the game. It is highly mobile, has very quick damage burst with its autoloader, and quickly reloads its clip, allowing you to keep up the pressure. If you are willing to put up with tier VII and VIII being terrible, then your payoff is 100% worth it.

JAPAN
Tank Comments
O-I There is a King of Derp. There is a Prince of Derp. This is the cheap Japanese Imitation Derp. It is massive. It is slow. It is heavily armored. Just like the KV-2, it just doesn't care what match it is in. Also, you will likely be using the same 15cm howitzer up to Tier VIII, so get used to it. You also will learn to get used to seeing your hit-log in match be full of premium rounds, as people just do not bother searching for your weak spots.
Chi-Ri A medium tank larger than many heavy tanks in the game. Decent mobility. Armor that couldn't stop a butterfly from penetrating if it lands too hard. Despite all of this, many who play it fall strangely in love with it. It has one of the more unique guns in the game: a 3 shot autoloader that does low damage, but that loads extremely quickly. I personally never understood the thrill, but many swear by it. Maybe you too, will one day play this tank and fall in love.
Type 4 Heavy Armor that works until it doesn't. That is often the kindest thing people say about this heavy tank. If you are top tier against Tier VII's and VIII's, you are probably going to have a good time. Against Tier IX and Tier X? You are an XP Piñata. More frustrating than fun to play. However, those rare good games may just keep you coming back for more.

CHINA
Tank Comments
WZ-132 In a game where 'traditional' light tanks are falling by the wayside, this one still holds its own. A better medium tank than the equal tier medium of the same tree. When the light tanks got an overall general nerf, this one was barely touched. It is a good light tank. While you may never go past it in the branch, you will probably appreciate it for what it is capable of. One of the more powerful combat lights in the game.
WZ-111 1-4 People tend to ignore the Chinese tree because of 'copycat syndrome'. I believe that is a mistake. This is one of my personal favorite heavies in the game, and a favorite to many who play it. Mobile, hard hitting, and a decent turret. A heavy that you can play like a medium, and out-slug those same mediums you raced to face. It is a bit of a grind to get there, but the 130mm gun on this heavy turns you into a deadly anti-medium.
T-34-2 In a tree of forgettable tanks, this one gives the AMX 65T of the French tree a run for its money as worst tank in the game. On paper, it is attractive. It is mobile. It has decent armor and a great turret. It has good guns with a lot of alpha damage. In reality once you play it, it all falls apart. This is one of the worst grinds in the game. With upcoming buffs to this branch, things might change.

POLAND

25TP Fully upgraded, this should be a good tank. It is mobile and has a good gun for the Tier. This problem is, to get there, you have to put up with one of the worst stock grinds in the game. If you are a new player, you won't have a bank of free xp built up to help unlock modules. One of the most frustrating grinds in the game, with a payoff being an OK, but not great, tank.
B.U.G.I. This is a tank that shouldn't work. It is awkward and on paper, just doesn't look good. In practice, this is one of the more fun tanks you can play in this game. With a choice of a normal gun (with high alpha for a medium of the tier) or a howitzer for derp action - you will find a way to play it that works for you. While the rest of the mediums are considered 'blah' aside from the Tier X, this one might just find a new home in your garage.
50TP Another one that on paper, just doesn't look exciting. However, fully researched, this is a hidden gem. Heck, Tier VIII and up on this branch are all hidden gems that people overlook because of the horrible grind to get here. The armor won't save often. However, when it does work, it works amazingly well. The top gun allows you to Hulk Smash enemies. Definitely worth the grind. The 60TP that follows has quickly become my personal favorite Tier X heavy tank.

UDES 03 Want to be a Norse Ninja? Want to be able to drive backwards faster than most tanks in the game can drive forwards? Want a gun so good, you almost never have to fire premium ammo, even at tanks 2 tiers higher? Want a unique mechanic that only a handful of other tanks in the game have? This TD is for you. While a MBT in real life, in game, this tank acts more like a tank destroyer (thus the designation as such). Both tanks following it are improvements on this vehicle. However, first loves stick with you as more memorable than your 2nd and 3rd loves.
Emil II Want to be a heavy tank that is smaller than some light tanks in the game? Oh, want to add in invincible frontal turret armor, 10+ degrees of gun depression, and an autoloader to it? Look no further. While not a great heavy tank in its own right, when you get the chance to play hull down, you go from average to becoming Thor himself.
IKV 103 At the same time both the best and worst tier 5 TD in the game. When it works, it works. However, when it doesn't, oh boy does it not. It is also unique in that the best gun on it only fires HEAT. No AP. No HE. Only HEAT. If you can make it work and learn to aim for solid armor and not spaced armor, then the top gun lets you do silly things.

P.43 This is a medium tank that acts like a heavy. It brawls like a heavy. It hits hard like a heavy. It is as slow as a heavy. While not a great tank, as Shrek told Donkey "That'll do."
P.43 ter Tier VII is usually pretty awkward. This tank is no different. However, the moment you unlock the top engine and mount it, you go from a middle-of-the-road medium to a hard hitting and very mobile medium. It may not be the best medium in the game, but it surely is up there for how much a simple tech upgrade can change the way you play/view a tank.
P.44 Pantera Auto-reloader mechanic. That is all. Wait, you want me to say more? Seriously, the auto-reloading mechanic puts regular auto loaders to shame. You can play as a single shot medium and maintain DPM. You can dump your clip for a quick burst of damage. Fully upgraded, this medium is mobile, extremely versatile, and secretly, a good rammer. Even if you go no further in this tree, you will probably love this tank - especially if you like regular autoloaders.

Our positives have slowed down, our recovery rate continues to rise (90+% range), and our hospitalizations are remaining stable (under 400).
Source.

2020.10.20 01:41 Dxichi Non-allergic/exercise-induced rhinitis (?)

19 - Male
Hey, so recently I think I've been having non-allergic rhinitis. I haven't had symptoms like this before, and I doubt it's a new allergy. I don't smoke or do drugs either.
My symptoms include -- my nose feels a bit weird, almost like underwater but not that bad (a little pressurized on the right side), if I breathe in sharply it burns a little. The main problem is the smell -- there's a smell inside my nose which is really hard to describe and is affecting my sense of smell and taste as it adds that into it. Also sometimes a minimal headache.
I'm not 100% sure of the date but I'm pretty sure this started after volleyball training 4 days ago so this might be exercise-induced rhinitis? This was the first session after a few months due to covid but I've never had anything like this before. Except when I've worked hard in the gym before it feels like this momentary but it doesn't stay as it has been.
Other than that I can breathe normally, my nose is clear. It's not really bad, just annoying due to the constant smell which is affecting enjoying my food + the slight discomfort :/
I'm not sure if there's much use to posting this since apparently this is hard to diagnose but I'm wondering if it will go away and what I can use to make it go away? Any nasal decongestants or something like that? I live in the UK if that helps.
Thanks in advance!
